Thanks for visiting and learning a little more about us!
Lessons of a Labradoodle is a new book series from the mind of Ashley Christine, that provides social emotional learning skills to our readers, through the eyes of Katana, Ashley Christine's long time family Labradoodle.
Katana
Katana is a brown Australian Labradoodle. She was born March 9, 2010 in Coral Springs, Florida. Ashley Christine was there to see her come into this world. Katana became Ashley Christine and Jacky’s forever pet in April 2010. Katana and Ashley Christine became best friends and did everything together. Jacky taught Katana how to sit, stay, shake and even go up the stairs! Katana loved going on long walks and windy car rides. She had a forever lovey called Gary that she slept with every night. At the age of 2, Katana was diagnosed with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) and required a special diet and medications to keep her healthy. In 2015, Katana and her family moved to Philadelphia where she got to experience the different seasons for the first time. Katana loved snow days! Katana spent a lot of her time playing with children at the school Ashley Christine worked at. On July 7, 2021 we said goodbye to our best friend. These stories are Katana’s beautiful life written on pages for children to enjoy and learn from.
Ashley Christine
Ashley Christine grew up loving to read and escape into different imaginative worlds. She started working with children at the age of 15 and fell in love with teaching, then went on to get her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Ashley Christine loves working with children on developing their social-emotional needs and supporting them in loving themselves. In addition to being a lifelong learner and educator, she is a mom to a beautiful son and adorable dog. When she isn’t being a mom or a pet-mom, or reading, or writing, she loves to paint and bird-watch.
Maggy Williams
Maggy Williams started writing at five years old and hasn’t stopped since. She loves creating stories for young readers because they have the best imaginations and because she never wants to grow up. When she’s not writing, she enjoys acting and comedy improv, which is basically just make-believe for grown-ups.
